Physical Therapy
for Runners

Treatment and strength training for running injuries in Coral Gables, built to keep you running whenever it is safe to do so.

RX MOVEMENT · Coral Gables

Keep running.
Run stronger.

Most running injuries come down to load: how much, how fast, and how well your body is prepared for it. Rest alone can quiet symptoms, but it rarely fixes why they started. The right plan adjusts your training and builds the strength your running needs.

At RX MOVEMENT we look at your training history, strength, and movement, then treat the painful area with hands-on care and dry needling when appropriate. Whenever it is safe, we modify your running instead of stopping it, so you keep your fitness while you recover.

Strength is the long-term fix. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy and strength coach, we build a program that carries you from rehab to your next race, all on one continuum.

Common Questions

Running Injury Physical Therapy FAQs

Do I have to stop running during physical therapy?+

Not always. For many running injuries we can modify your mileage, pace, or surfaces so you keep running while you recover. Some injuries, such as suspected bone stress injuries, do need a break, and we will tell you clearly if that is the case.

What should I bring to my first visit?+

Bring the shoes you run in and, if you have one, a short video of yourself running. A summary of your recent training and any upcoming races helps us plan around your goals.

Do I need a referral for physical therapy for a running injury?+

No. Florida law allows you to see a physical therapist directly, without a physician referral, for the first 30 days of care.
