Hip Pain
Physical Therapy

Treatment for stiff, achy hips, pain on the side of the hip, groin pain, and hip surgery rehab in Coral Gables.

RX MOVEMENT · Coral Gables

Sit, walk, and sleep
without hip pain.

Hip pain can quietly take over your day. It makes sitting uncomfortable, walking tiring, and sleeping on your side harder than it should be. Most hip pain improves with a plan that restores motion and builds strength around the hip and pelvis.

At RX MOVEMENT we assess how your hips, pelvis, lower back, and legs work together, then treat the real source. Treatment combines hands-on care, dry needling, and targeted strength and mobility work. For stubborn tendon pain on the side of the hip, shockwave therapy may be part of your plan.

You'll see the same physical therapist at every visit. After hip replacement or hip arthroscopy, we follow your surgeon's protocol and guide you all the way back to full strength.

Common Questions

Hip Pain Physical Therapy FAQs

Is stretching enough for tight hips?+

Often not. Hips that feel tight usually need strength as much as stretching. We'll show you the right balance for your body.

Can physical therapy help hip arthritis?+

Yes. Exercise-based physical therapy is a recommended first-line treatment for hip osteoarthritis. It can reduce pain and improve how far and how comfortably you walk.

Do you treat patients after hip replacement?+

Yes. We follow your surgeon's protocol and help you rebuild strength, walking, and confidence, then keep progressing with strength training if you want to go further.

Will I see the same therapist every visit?+

Yes. You'll see the same physical therapist at every visit, from your evaluation to your last session. You won't be switched between therapists or handed off partway through your care.

Do I need a referral for hip pain physical therapy?+

No. Florida law allows you to see a physical therapist directly, without a physician referral, for the first 30 days of care.
