RX MOVEMENT · Coral Gables
Knee injuries are rarely just about the knee. Recovery depends on restoring motion, rebuilding quad and hip strength, and retraining how you jump, land, cut, and decelerate. That is exactly where a physical therapist who is also a strength and conditioning specialist makes a difference.
At RX MOVEMENT we treat knee pain and guide ACL and meniscus rehab from the first days after injury or surgery through the final stages of return to sport. Progress is based on strength and movement benchmarks, not just the calendar.
When rehab is done, you do not have to start over somewhere else. Your physical therapy flows straight into performance training on the same continuum, with the same team that knows your knee.
What We Treat
Criteria-based rehab from early post-op through return to sport.
Restoring motion and strength before surgery for a better start after it.
Rehab after meniscus tears and meniscus repair or trimming.
Pain around the kneecap with stairs, squats, or running.
Jumper's knee and tendon pain in runners, lifters, and tennis and pickleball players.
Regaining motion, strength, and walking confidence after replacement.
Your Plan
Every plan is built by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and strength coach, and it keeps going past pain-free, all the way to performance. You'll see the same physical therapist at every visit, never switched or handed off.
Common Questions
It varies by person and surgery, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports usually takes around 9 to 12 months. We use strength and movement testing to decide when you are ready for each stage, alongside guidance from your surgeon.
Often, yes. Prehab helps restore knee motion, reduce swelling, and build quad strength before surgery, which can make the early weeks after surgery go more smoothly. Your surgeon will guide the timing.
No. Florida law allows you to see a physical therapist directly, without a physician referral, for the first 30 days of care. After surgery, we also coordinate with your surgeon's protocol.
